Business as usual for most patients as public healthcare clusters recover from 9-hour disruption

I think the main lesson for Singapore’s public healthcare system is that getting services back online is only half the job. Staff had to fall back on manual processes for tasks such as visitor checks and meal orders, and those workarounds create their own problems when systems recover. Someone still needs to check that records match, payments went through and appointments were updated correctly. I would expect public agencies to pay closer attention to these recovery steps when reviewing suppliers, because a system can be available again while errors from the outage remain.
